A week of madness, fun and
games.
Farmers Arms 4th June
It was a good gig. The place is quite small so it's always a good atmosphere.
Like the Tardis only in reverse.
The photos on the right are from this gig.
Friday and wednesday.

Another goody, I haven't got hold of the photos yet,
but I'll put them up (ooh eerr)
as soon as I do.
Farmers Arms 9th June
As friday, good fun. Gigs in small rooms are great,
the audience are nearer the guitar than I am.
I'm into clever heckling. The best
one yet was, I said:
" It's hard work up here!". A voice came back from
the crowd, " It's a lot harder work down here!".
I laughed.

Firstly my apology's to anyone who came down to this
gig later in the evening.
The gig was scheduled for 8pm.
Unfortunately it poured down and as it was outside
(the gig not the rain, although rain usually
is)
we had to pull the plug.
I did a couple of numbers inside
for some of the locals
whilst the band that were inside
later weren't.
They were outside waiting to be
inside.
After I'd done I went outside and.......you
work it out.
he,he.

AR!! the joys of multi use venues.
As a lot of places that have bands on also do food,
it's quite common to have to wait for everybody to finish scoffing grub
before banging out some tunes.
This time though a bunch of good folks decided to stay
put.
They were actually on the stage area with me.
At first I was worried that they might fall over
and get hurt or break something, But even drunk and dancing next to me
everyone survived.
With everyone sat only feet away, and drunk, the noise
was incredible.
If that sounds strange, it's because :
at a show the audience is listening to the pa system.
The band isn't, they're listening to the monitors on stage. Which are
just loud enough for the band, but not as loud as the pa for the crowd
(otherwise we'd all be deaf, pardon.)
I had to keep turning everything up just to hear
myself.
But it is funny having a bunch of Grandmas
tell you to crank it up and go crazy. |
