The Laxey Blues Festival got rocked to its tent pegs
this year
by some of the best blues music
there's been on the Island
(ok, with your truly being the one exception)
.

Friday night is always the most nerve wracking for me.
I am always sure no one will remember Mr Riff.
Even with this being the fifth year that I've played
at the festival.
I didn't have to worry long, as Mr Riff
was announced, the noise was deafening.
It was definitely a lumpy throat moment.

I think it must have been the sun or all the beer
that had gone to everyone's heads, ha,ha.
The night was brilliant. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Saturday night was, if anything, even better.
How that many people managed to fit into that tent is
beyond me.
Halfway into the show I went out into the crowd and climbed onto a table.
I
then realised everyone had closed up behind me and
there was no way back  Doh!
The new album got a baptism of fire tonight, but the tracks all seemed to go down well with everyone.

Sunday afternoon was relaxed and chilled.
Everyone was laying back and enjoying the sun.
It was really nice to do some lazy blues on a warm sunny day.
I even sat still for a while!!
